Have you ever dreamed of writing your own fiction book, but felt overwhelmed by the process? Â Maybe like me, you don't think of yourself as an author. That is exactly how I felt until a friend of mine wrote a book. Hey, wait a minute! I can do that too I realized! That was in 2015 and since then I've written four fiction books and two nonfiction books.
Well, what does it take to write a book? First, it takes a good idea. And where do you get good ideas? From other bestselling authors, of course! That is how I chose my genre for two different kinds of fiction I like to write. Conspiracy, Mystery, Thriller, and FBI Crime.
But there were still a few hurdles. How many words do I need to write for a mystery fiction book? I learned that between 80k and 90k is best for fiction. I also learned that if I write 100k words for a book that gives me plenty of editing room to whittle it down to size. And then there is how long it takes! Not as long as you would think.
Let me break it down for you: if you commit to writing just 500 words a day, that's 3500 words a week. And with dedication, that could turn into not just one, but TWO fiction books in a year! But how do I format my word template? Another hurdle! Where to begin?
It's simple - start with a manuscript template that I have for you. This template can be easily uploaded to various print-on-demand companies like Amazon, making your dream of publishing a reality! It also gives me all the necessary innards a fiction book needs like the copyright page, dedication page, contents, and chapters. All of the formatted elements are there, and it makes it so easy to edit!
