5. FBI Books: SURVEILLANCE, Book 2 Lexi Hunter's Dangerous Spy Game

Updated: Dec 25, 2023

After Quantico and six more years in the FBI, Special Agent Lexi Hunter is no longer a naive woman. She is in a world of secrecy and espionage, romance, violence, and intrigue, that satisfies her intellect and desire for adventure. The actual facts of the cases she works on are equal in every respect to intense melodrama. She navigates a glamorous world but only to gain information. Inside, there is a part of her that died with David Gabriel Lyons two years earlier.

Lexi Hunter images were created with high school and college images and AI.
FBI Special Agent Lexi Hunter

Images of Lexi are created using AI technology and images of me (Melissa Saulnier) from high school and college. This makes my character seem real to me and helps me interject my personality into my character.

Tangled plot and counterplot, treachery, and silver dagger interwoven into the texture as to be incredible yet true. While she will not have the remarkable power of modern gadgetry in her armory, her silent protector will. He is a ghost, a Black Op mercenary, and she thinks he's dead. She lost him because he was trying to save her and she'll never forgive herself.

Who is David Gabriel Lyons?

David Gabriel Lyons known for his spy game amid war, has watched men die. He has also held the power of death and life in his hands. Above all, his military intelligence takes him places in a wartime world where anything is possible, except his return to normal life. There are only two people who know he is alive and they hold his secrets locked tightly in a sealed safe.

The Author

Every acquaintance of mine runs the risk of ending up as a character in one of my books. I am a collector of facts and material that underpin my fiction. I also make time to write blogs about cults and their charismatic leaders. Almost every character in my FBI series will be based to some extent on a real person or something I've learned in real life. Some characters are based on old-school friends (and enemies) but most are born of experiences I've had along the way. I hope to make the books intriguing enough that one might find it difficult to discover the relationship between the characters and myself.

The name David came from someone I knew and dated in high school. I gave him the middle name Gabriel, after an angel, the irony being that he is no angel. David's last name Lyons, is a take on my school mascot which was a Lion. I take David out of the picture in the first book and bring him back as a military ghost in the second book. The angst will be that David will never be able to tell Lexi he is alive. All he can do is protect her from a distance. They both will experience deep pain and loss. Something I think many people have experienced.
