The Adventure Begins: Murder on the Rocks

Mystery Novel Adventure

Dear friends and mystery lovers,

I'm thrilled to share my newest adventure with you all! After decades of calling Alaska home, I'm embarking on a journey that combines my two greatest passions: our breathtaking state and the mysteries that spring from its unique landscapes and history.

The Walking Tour Series Begins

This spring, I'm launching a special series where I'll take you on virtual walking tours of the real Alaskan locations that inspire my novels. We're starting in the charming historic town of Talkeetna, the setting for my newest mystery, "Murder on the Rocks."

I'll be wandering the streets in the quiet of early morning when the town is just waking up and the birds provide the perfect soundtrack. Through photos, videos, and stories, you'll experience Talkeetna through my eyes—the same eyes that spotted the perfect setting for a murder mystery!

You'll also want to listen to KTNA 88.9, Talkeetna's radio station for occasional spots about Murder on the Rocks. And watch for guest blogs beginning with YourAlaskanAdventures.com.

Gold, Grit, and a Good Mystery

Having called Alaska home since I was in second grade, I've absorbed the rich tapestry of stories this land has to offer. Talkeetna's fascinating gold mining history and the survivalist culture that still thrives here form the backbone of "Murder on the Rocks."

When Detective Emma Stone and Agent Jeremiah Steele are thrown together by their departments to solve a murder case, they discover that Talkeetna's serene beauty hides deadly secrets. These two strong-willed investigators must navigate not only a complex case but also their growing respect for each other—and perhaps something more. As a self-proclaimed slow burner in romance myself, I understand that trust takes time, especially when murder is involved!

Perfect for Your Alaskan Adventure

If you're planning to visit our magnificent state, "Murder on the Rocks" will be the perfect companion for those peaceful evenings after a day of exploration. There's something magical about reading a mystery set in the very place you're visiting—the descriptions come alive in a whole new way.

Stay tuned for the walking tour schedule and book release date. I can't wait to share this journey with all of you who have supported my writing over the years, and to welcome new readers discovering Alaska through my stories. AuthorMelissaSaulnier.com
